Update On COVID-19 As Of December 1: Up Again, New Positive Cases Of 5,092 People
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 51,232 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 5,092 new positive cases of COVID-19. This number is an increase compared to November 30 of 4,617 new cases.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 543,975 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, December 1.
Cases recovered today increased by 4,361, so that a total of 454,879 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 136 people and a total of 17,081 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,058 new cases and a total of 137,919 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by West Java which has 878 new cases with a total of 53,395 cases. Central Java has 730 new cases and a total of 56,626 cases. Then, East Java has 430 new cases and a total of 62,313 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an increase of 1,024 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 714 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 476 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 373 recovered cases.
Then, there is 1 province that reported no new cases today. The province is Maluku.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined reached 5,746,979. In details, 5,664,618 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 102,361 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14.1 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases was 71,286 people. Currently, 505 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
