The Attorney General's Office Holds The Suspects Of The Murder Of Brigadier J, Ferdy Sambo At The Mobile Brigade Headquarters And Putri Candrawati At The Salemba Detention Center
JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has decided to continue to detain the suspects in the premeditated murder of Brigadier J and obstruction of justice, including Putri Candrawati and Ferdy Sambo.
Originally, the suspects and evidence of the two cases would have been delegated to the authority of the Criminal Investigation Police investigators to the public prosecutor (JPU), today.
"Today, according to the Criminal Procedure Code, we will follow up on taking steps and the authority of the law that the Public Prosecutor has the authority to detain the suspects who have been handed over to us," said the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) at the AGO, Fadil Zumhana to reporters, Wednesday, October 5.
Based on the results of coordination with investigators, 11 suspects will be detained at the Criminal Investigation Unit, Mako Brimob Polri, Attorney General's Office.
The purpose behind the detention of the suspects, continued Fadil, is to facilitate the trial process.
"Suspect FS, HK, ANP, ARA we detained him at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters. The others are in the Criminal Investigation Department," said Fadil.
"For the suspects RR, RE, and KM in the Criminal Investigation Department," he continued
Unlike the others, the suspect Putri Candrawati will be moved to her detention location. He who was originally scheduled to languish in Rtan Bareskrim would be'shifted' to the Salemba Rutan at the AGO branch.
" PC mothers are being held at the Salemba Rutan at the AGO branch," said Fadil.
For information, in the premeditated murder case of Brigadier J there are five suspects. They are Ferdy Sambo, Putri Chandrawahti, Bripka Ricky Rizal, Bharada Richard totaling, and Strong Ma'ruf.
They are suspected of under Article 340 subsidiary 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.
Then, in the case of obstruction of justice, seven people were named suspects. They are Ferdy Sambo, Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan, Kombes Agus Nur Patria, Kompol Chuck Putranto, Kompol Baiquni Wibowo, AKBP Arif Rachman Arifin, and AKP Irfan Widyanto.
They are suspected of violating Article 49 in conjunction with Article 33 and/or Article 48 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraph (1) Number 19 of 2016 of the ITE Law. In addition, they were also charged with Article 55 paragraph (1) and/or Article 221 paragraph (1) 2 and/or Article 233 of the Criminal Code.
