Police Still Waiting For Rizieq And Son-in-Law's Presence Until Night
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya investigators are still waiting for the arrival of Rizieq Shihab and his son-in-law Hanif Alatas until evening. Both will be questioned as witnesses for the alleged violation of the health protocol in Petamburan some time ago.
"Investigators are still waiting for the possibility to come. We are waiting until tonight (the arrival of Rizieq Shihab and Hanif Alatas)," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters at his office, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 1.
According to Yusri, if the two of them are not present until tonight his party has prepared other steps. Namely making a calling for the second time.
"Hopefully we schedule a second call on Thursday," said Yusri.
As previously reported, the high priest of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Rizieq Shihab, will likely not fulfill the summons as a witness in a case of alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) today. The reason is that Rizieq Shihab is still tired.
"We are not sure yet, but he still needs rest, tired," said FPI attorney Ichwan Tuankotta to reporters, Tuesday, December 1.
The plan is for Rizieq Shihab's team of lawyers to come to Polda Metro Jaya to meet investigators. However Ichwan did not explain the purpose of the plan to meet with investigators
"Yes, a team of lawyers will attend to meet the police. That's all that can be conveyed," he said.
The status of the case for alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) for the wedding ceremony of Rizieq Shihab's daughter has been upgraded from investigation to investigation.
Based on the title of the case, the police found an alleged violation of Law number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine. Currently investigators are collecting evidence that supports the alleged violation.
Investigators are looking for evidence by examining a number of witnesses. Therefore, tomorrow the Polda Metro Jaya will examine Rizieq Shihab, his son-in-law Irfan Alaydrus and the FPI Legal Division.
