Jonás Cuarón Directs Bad Bunny Film Spin-Off Spider-Man
JAKARTA - The production house Sony Pictures appointed Jonás Cuarón as the director for the film El Moto. This film is a spin-off of the Spider-Man universe in the live-action version.
Previously Sony also announced rapper Bad Bunny otherwise known as Benito A Martinez Ocasio who will play El Moto.
Currently, El Moto is still in the process of development and the script is written by Gareth target-Alcocer.
Jonás Cuarón himself produces many Latin films and series such as Ano Una, Desierto, and Hombre. Jonás also co-wrote the script for the film Graphity (2013).
For the first time, a Latin-blooded actor will lead the Marvel film. El Moto is an antihero and the son of Luchador who will inherit the power of his ancestors.
"Very amazing. I love wrestling. I grew up watching a wrestling game, and I'm a wrestler," Bad Bunny quoted Deadline as saying.
I'm a former champion (dare) so this is the reason why I love that character (El Puerto). I think it's the perfect character for me and it's going to be amazing," he continued.
Bad Bunny is known as a musician considering that many of her works have printed Grammy awards. But on the other hand, he is also starting to get serious in acting.
The 28-year-old man acted in the series biro: Mexico. This year he made his acting debut through the film Bullet Train with Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Andrew Koji, Michael Shannon and others.
Meanwhile, Sony Pictures plans to screen the film El Mototo on January 12, 2024 in theaters.
