Rizieq Shihab Called By The Police, FPI Lawyer: He Still Needs Rest, Tired

JAKARTA - High Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab is likely not going to fulfill the summons as a witness in a case of alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) today. The reason is that Rizieq Shihab is said to be still exhausted.

"We are not sure yet but he still needs rest, he is tired," FPI attorney Ichwan Tuankotta told reporters, Tuesday, December 1.

The plan is for Rizieq Shihab's team of lawyers to come to Polda Metro Jaya to meet investigators. However Ichwan did not explain the purpose of the plan to meet with investigators

"Yes, a team of lawyers will attend to meet the police. That's all that can be conveyed," he said.

Previously, the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said Rizieq Shihab was scheduled to undergo an examination at around 10:00 WIB.

"Summoning MRS (Muhammad Riziq Shihab) to be present on Tuesday," said Yusri to reporters, Sunday, November 29.

But Yusri did not explain in detail what the investigators would go into during the investigation. Referring to the summons for examination, Rizieq Shihab will be asked to explain several things related to his daughter's wedding. Including the matter of the crowd which is the mass of supporters.

In addition, Yusri said, Rizieq's summons for examination had been carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations. Investigators have passed a summons to Rizieq's house.

Although, the letter was not immediately received by the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). Because, at that time Rizieq was not at home. The letter was later received by his lawyer.

"Summons to Mr. Muhammad Rizieq Shihab have been given to the family," said Yusri.
