The Results Of The TGIPF Meeting On The Tragedy Of A Will Be Handed Over To Jokowi For Recommendations To The National Football Policy
JAKARTA - The Independent Joint Team for Fact Findings (TGIPF) of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy led by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD will hold its inaugural meeting today, Tuesday, October 4 evening.
The results of the meeting related to the recommendation for completion of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy will be submitted by TGIPF to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for policy making in national football matches.
"The output will be submitted to the President for the assessment of national sports policies, especially football as a whole," Mahfud said, quoted on Tuesday, October 4. In addition, said Mahfud, it is possible that from the results of the TGIPF meeting, it was found that perpetrators of criminal acts other than those handled by the National Police pro-justitia.
Then, said Mahfud, other facts could be found by the TGIPF, namely the involvement of other parties behind the unfortunate incident.
"It is possible that after investigating something will be found that there has been a criminal act committed by a bigger person who is not a field actor. Maybe or a mistake that was deliberately made by the person behind what is now seen," he said.
Mahfud added that the results of TGIPF's work will also be forwarded to the National Police if there are allegations of a crime. The results of the work, he said, could also be forwarded to the KPK. "Later, of course, it will be distributed again to the Police for legal processing. For example, the game is because of money and it involves positions, it can also be submitted to the KPK, yes. We'll see that later," he concluded.
