Led By Mahfud MD, TGIPF Investigasi Tragedy Kanjurungan Holder Meeting Perdana Tonight
JAKARTA - The Joint Independent Fact Finding Team (TGIPF) of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy will hold its inaugural meeting to thoroughly investigate a heartbreaking event at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, East Java.
The meeting will be chaired directly by the Chairperson of the TGIPF as well as the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD. The plan is for the meeting to take place tonight at 19.00 WIB, at the office of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta.

Previously, a number of members of the DPR across factions also proposed the formation of a Special Committee (Pansus) whose purpose was to carry out an investigation into the Judicial Tragedy.
A member of Commission III of the PKB faction, Heru Widodo, who is one of the proposers of the Kanjuruhan Tragedy Special Committee, admitted that this discourse had been supported by eight DPR factions until Monday, October 3 afternoon.
The factions that signed the support for the formation of the Special Committee included the PDI-P faction, the Golkar Party faction, the PKB faction, the Gerindra faction, the Democratic faction, the PAN faction, the NasDem faction, and the PKS faction.
Heru said that his party would bring a signature for this support to the leadership of the DPR to be ratified at the DPR Plenary Meeting. "We hope that the Kanjuruhan Special Committee will be formed as soon as possible so that it can work quickly in the field," he said during a press conference at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, October 3.
