18 Police Have Been Examined To Investigate The Causes Of Tragedy In Malang Village
JAKARTA - The cause of the riots at the Malang Kanjuruhan Stadium is still being investigated. So far, the National Police have examined 18 members who were directly involved in securing the soccer match which led to disaster.
"Investigating members who are directly involved in security, 18 people have been examined, members who are responsible or as operators are holding throwing weapons," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo in Malang, Monday, October 3.
Then, the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) team is also analyzing dozens of CCTV installed at 32 points. This deepening is carried out to determine the cause or trigger of the riot.
"Starting last night and today maish works, exploring and analyzing 32 CCTB points around the Kanjuruhan stadium and several locations. Then also analyzes 2 DVRs," he said.
Then, the Labfor team also confiscated 6 cellphones, some of which belonged to the victim.
From the series of examinations and deepenings, it is hoped that in the near future the cause of the riots will be revealed.
"Of the 6 cellphones, the victim's 3 cellphones were identified and 3 more cellphones are still being processed because the 3 cellphones are passwordd, so it's a bit difficult for the Labfor team to investigate later," said Dedi.
This step is also a follow-up to President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) instructions to thoroughly investigate the tragedy.
"Currently I have invited a team from the National Police Headquarters consisting of Bareskrim, Propam, Sops, Pusdkkkes, Inafis, Puslabfor to take steps related to the deepening of our investigations," said Sigit.
