KDRT Report Prank: Komnas Perempuan Calls Action Baim Wong And Paula Sentens Morals

JAKARTA - The National Commission (Komnas) for Women, Rainy Hutabarat spoke about the actions taken by Baim Wong and his wife, Paula Verhoeven. According to him, what the artist couple did was a bad act that dropped moral values.

It is known that Artist Baim Wong created prank content on domestic violence reports (KDRT) with his wife Paula Verhoeven at the Kebayoran Lama Police.

"KDRT for laughing materials is an act that is contrary to moral values and is a bad example for the public," Rainy confirmed when confirmed, Monday, October 3.

Rainy also said that Baim and Paula's actions by pretending to make a report related to the domestic violence case were false reports that led to criminal penalties. They can be sentenced to prison.

"Creating false reports, including for the purpose of pranks, is also a crime that can be subject to a penalty of up to 1 year and 4 months," he concluded.

For information, the prank action was recorded in a video that had aired on Baim Paula's Youtube channel on Sunday, October 2. However, now the video has been taken down or deleted.

Previously, the incident began when he pretended to make a report on the domestic violence case, Paula, who was in charge of reporting it to the police. Meanwhile, Baim sat in the car and monitored Paula's activities which were caught on camera.

Baim was seen laughing when Paula entered the Kebayoran Lama Police. He also felt a little tense. Arriving at the Kebayoran Lama Police Station, Paula said she wanted to report her husband who had committed violence against her.

The police officer on duty initially did not know the woman Paula because of the mask she was wearing. He then asked Paula to take off her mask and began to recognize Paula.

Police officers who were not in uniform had returned to their rooms to wear uniforms because they wanted to handle Paula's report. Not long after, Baim, who was waiting outside the Kebayoran Lama Police Station, met Paula in the reporting room.

The policeman immediately realized that he was being pranked by Baim and Paula.

"Prank huh?" said the policeman.

Baim and Paula laughed while admitting that they were doing pranks by pretending to make a domestic violence case report.
