Dubai Police Add Supercar Patrol Fleet, This Time It's Electric Car Run

Launching The National News October 1, Dubai Police received a shipment of Hongqi E-HS9 vehicles from the Oneroad Automotive Company at the Dubai Police Officers Club.
The E-HS9, Hongqi brand's first SUV, can travel from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in five seconds.
This lactric car has a distance of about 440km. The battery can be fully charged from empty within six to eight hours.
Dubai Police are known to have a variety of supercar vehicles to support their daily duties, ranging from Mercedes Benz, Maserati, Aston Martin to Cadillac.
The Supercars in white and green colors of Dubai Police are often seen at national events such as the Dubai Marathon, UAE Tours cycling, and parades as well as other celebrations.
Major General Khalil Al Mansouri, assistant commander in chief for criminal investigations, said Dubai police were always interested in promoting the safety and security of the emirate, as well as maintaining his position as one of the safest destinations in the world.
"Through the addition of supercars in its luxury patrol vehicle fleet, Dubai Police are increasing the presence of security officers at all important tourist destinations, including Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and JBR," he said.
"The Dubai Police are always trying to add the most efficient, flexible and recent vehicle models to their fleet to deal with various situations."
"This electric vehicle will improve the performance of traffic police and help achieve Dubai Police's strategic goals in maintaining road safety and security," he said.
