Waiting For Rizeq Shihab To Fulfill The Police Investigation Call

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya scheduled an examination of Rizieq Shihab regarding the alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) during the wedding ceremony of his daughter, Syarifah Najwa Shihab. Rizieq will be examined as a witness today.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said that in the scheduled examination, Rizeq would be asked for information at around 10.00 WIB. However, the investigators did not explain in detail what was going to be investigated against Rizieq Shihab.

"Summoning MRS (Muhammad Riziq Shihab) to be present on Tuesday," said Yusri to reporters, Sunday, November 29.

Referring to the summons for examination, investigators will ask Rizieq Shihab to explain several things related to his daughter's wedding. Including the matter of the crowd which is the mass of supporters.

In addition, Yusri said, Rizieq's summons for examination had been carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations. Investigators have passed a summons to Rizieq's house.

Although, the letter was not immediately received by the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). Because, at that time Rizieq was not at home. Thus, the letter was received by his lawyer.

"A summons for Mr. Muhammad Rizieq Shihab has been given to the family," he said.

Separately confirmed, Secretary for Legal Aid DPP FPI, Aziz Yanuar agreed with the question of a summons for examination. He said the letter was delivered to Rizieq Shihab shortly after receiving it. However, Rizieq has not yet responded to this matter.

"(The letter was delivered) but there has been no response," said Aziz, Monday, November 30.

It is not yet certain whether Rizieq Shihab will answer the summons. The new assurance will be conveyed some time before the examination.

"See tomorrow, God willing, if possible," he said.

On the other hand, with the inspection schedule, news emerged that Rizieq Shihab's supporters would come and fill the Polda Metro Jaya area. The goal is to guard Rizieq's examination regarding the alleged violation of the health protocol.

With the news, Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, emphasized that the Police will take certain steps, such as alerting security personnel to deal with this matter. In fact, it was emphasized that the Police would not lose to actions that exemplify thuggery.

"What is clear is that the state cannot be defeated by thuggery. That is my answer. How will we see its progress," said Awi.

But about the form of security and the personnel to be deployed, Awi admitted that he could not convey it. This is because everything depends on reports and assessments from the intelligence side.

"Later, how will the report from the investigator be prepared, how is it safe, how the security has been prepared," he said.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya raised a case of alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) for Rizieq Shihab's daughter's wedding from investigation to investigation.

Based on the title of the case, the police found an alleged violation of Law number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine. Currently investigators are gathering evidence that supports the alleged violation.

Investigators are looking for evidence by examining a number of witnesses. Therefore, tomorrow the Polda Metro Jaya will examine Rizieq Shihab, his son-in-law Irfan Alaydrus and the FPI Legal Division.
