PSM Considers The Tragedy Of The Malang Rugikan Stadium In Indonesian Football Industry

JAKARTA - President Director of PSM Makassar Sadikin Aksa, assessing the tragedy that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium Malang, Saturday, October 1 after the Arema FC match against Persebaya Surabaya, will have a major impact on the Indonesian football industry.

"It is very unfortunate that yesterday's incident, because it has a big impact. Not only on PSM but has a big impact on the Indonesian football industry," Sadikin said, quoting Antara, Sunday, October 2.

He explained that the football industry in Indonesia is currently developing after the COVID-19 pandemic. The quality of the competition is also getting better, which of course will also produce a better Liga 1 to compete in Asian competitions.

He still tries to think positively and hopes that the incident will also become a record for PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru so that in the future he will improve the security side. Because the incident in Kanjuruhan was not a riot between supporters and the opposing team.

Sadikin Aksa still hopes that there will be a lesson behind this tragedy. Moreover, several countries whose football actually advanced after there was a tragedy of supporters' riots that claimed lives.

"Hopefully this will be a momentum to improve our football in the future," concluded Sadikin.
