Anies' Name Related To The Candidate For Komnas HAM Commissioner, Tawa Room For Commission III Of The DPR Broke Down

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR is holding a fit and proper test of 14 candidates for Komnas HAM for the 2022-2027 period.

In the midst of testing the candidate named Anis Hidayah, a member of Commission III of the DPR from the PKS faction Muhammad Nasir Djamil joked about linking the candidate's name to the DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. According to him, Anis' name is currently popular. "Sister of the candidate, whose name is Anis Hidayah. Recently, Anis' name has been very popular, yes, chairman," said Nasir, greeted laughter from members of Commission III of the DPR at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, September 30.

Soon, a mourner emerged from one of the members who questioned the intent of Nasir's statement.

"Starting, starting, starting. How is this? What is this? What does that mean?" explained one member of Commission III of the DPR.

Nasir is also optimistic that Anis will qualify as a member of Komnas HAM for the 2022-2027 period. "So I have confidence that Anis Hidayah will become the commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission," he said. According to Nasir, Komnas HAM needs a figure like Anis who has experience related to migrant workers.

"Secondly, if you look at the track record, Komnas HAM really needs commissioners who have commitment and experience, especially for migrant workers outside Indonesia," he said.

"And today indeed their fate is not profitable, even bravely, Anis Hidayah said in her paper it all indicated that the Indonesian government failed to make prevention and protection efforts. So this is the courage we need," continued Nasir.

Nasir also hopes that if Anis is elected as Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission, he has the same courage as when making efforts to protect migrant workers. "Even courage must exceed the courage that has been shown," said Nasir. Here are the names of 14 candidates for Komnas HAM members who did the fit and proper test:
