Barcelona Relieves Pressing On The Salaries Of Players Up To IDR 2.5 Trillion In Order To Restore Messi

JAKARTA - Barcelona is ready to press the player's salary spending on a large scale to repatriate Lionel Messi. The Blaugrana is said to be willing to cut spending of up to 150 million pounds or IDR 2.5 trillion.

Quoted from Sportsmole, Friday, the Catalan giant has disbursed £145 million in the summer transfer market. However, Barcelona must also attract an economic lever to be able to register new signings.

Although the decision to withdraw the lever can improve finances, the player's wage bill swelled to £546 million (9.2 trillion).

Therefore, sources said, Barcelona wanted to reduce the number of players' wages by 150 million pounds (Rp 2.5 trillion) so that their spending was ideal at 376 to 402 million pounds.

However, if the cuts were made, Barcelona could have lost top players such as Gerard Pique, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.

On the other hand, Barcelona's Vice President of Economics, Eduard Romeu claims Messi's possible return to Barcelona.

With this wide possibility, Barca are increasingly excited to improve the club's financial performance in order to smooth out efforts to repatriate Messi. Moreover, Argentina's international player contract at PSG will expire next summer.
