Food Resilience Budget Next Year Availables Rp95 Trillion
JAKARTA - The government and the DPR have agreed to allocate a food security budget for the 2023 period of IDR 95 trillion.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Budget Agency Said Abdullah in a Decree of the 2023 State Budget Bill.
"This budget consists of IDR 72.9 trillion which is located at the center and IDR 22.1 trillion for the regions," he said at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta on Thursday, September 29.
According to Said, the funds are expected to support several national strategic targets, such as the construction of a rice cultivation area covering an area of 279,500 hectares, the construction of a corn cultivation area covering an area of 40,000 hectares, the development area for other cultivation areas of 350,000 hectares, and the procurement of 118 million fish seeds.
Then, the procurement of 300.000 units of frozen coffins, including the construction of a irrigation line of 6.900 hectares.
"This is an important part in order to lead to food security so that we can lead to food sovereignty," he said.

For information, the budget is included in the state expenditure structure in next year's APBN which is IDR 3,061.2 trillion.
In detail, the central government budget is IDR 2,246.5 trillion, consisting of ministry spending of IDR 1,000.8 trillion and non-ministerial/institutional expenditures of IDR 1,245.6 trillion.
Meanwhile, the expenditure transferred to the regions (TKD) was IDR 814.7 trillion.
