Trade Minister Zulhas After Export Aluminum Assess 1.2 Million US Dollars To 6 Countries
SIDOARJO - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) released the export of aluminum products produced by PT Maspion Group as many as 22 containers worth 1.2 million US dollars to six countries.
"The government, especially the Ministry of Trade, is trying to open a new market as a destination for the export of Indonesian products," Zulhas said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 29.
Zulhas invites business actors to take advantage of Indonesia's trade agreements with partner countries.
He said the government had made toll roads to make it easy to export to Indonesian trading partner countries.
"This effort is what we are doing to help business actors in order to invade the world market," he said.
He appreciated Maspion as one of the business actors who not only filled the local market, but also export-oriented.
"We appreciate Maspion as a labor-intensive industry that not only produces to fulfill local markets, but also export-oriented," he said.
According to him, the achievement of national trade performance cannot be separated from the role of Indonesian business actors who continue to export to trading partner countries.
"Therefore, the government must support strategic businesses like this through regulations that can encourage export performance," he said.
Zulhas released aluminum products in the form of eknstrution aluminum, aluminum stairs, and aluminum foil with export destination countries in the United States, Australia, Britain, New Zealand, Belgium, and Vietnam.
Indonesia is ranked 24th as an exporter of extrusion aluminum with a market share of 1.02 percent in 2021.
The export value of Indonesia's aluminum eknstruction was recorded at 212.77 million US dollars or grew quite significantly by 39.91 percent compared to the export value in 2020 which reached the value of 152.08 million US dollars.
Meanwhile, in the January-July 2022 period, the export of Indonesia's aluminum struction products grew significantly by 26.97 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.
Maspion Group President Director Alim Markus said his party was developing the type of goods, especially since the government would sign with the United Arab Emirates to expand the market.
"We are diligent in looking for markets, including our export of solar cell frames from aluminum," he said.
