PLN Gandeng Denmark For The Price Of More Affordable EBT Plants

JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) to accelerate the development of new and renewable energy (EBT) which is clean, reliable and affordable in the country.

PLN President Director, Darmawan Prasodjo explained, to be able to accelerate the development of EBT, PLN cannot do it alone.

Moreover, several types of EBT require preventive technology. PLN cooperates with Denmark as one of the countries that has the power in utilizing natural resources into an electrical energy base.

"Denmark is one of the countries that utilizes its natural resources for electric power. Starting from the wind, ocean currents and even water," said Darmawan in his statement, Thursday, September 29.

He explained, theama will assist PLN in the global emission reduction program through steps to accelerate a sustainable and reliable energy mix.

"Especially in the development of the Bayu Power Plant (PLTB), the bank and PLN will try to develop technology that is cutting-edge and also reliable in Indonesia. Not only technology, the internet will also share its experience in commercializing PLTB and also mapping the potential of PLTB in Indonesia," said Darmawan.

Through this MoU, the mafia and PLN will later conduct a study on the development of PLTB in Sumatra and NTT as well as other potential regions in Indonesia.

Darmawan ensured that PLN continues to strive to increase the energy mix in Indonesia. Efforts to accelerate this energy mix are a step to achieve the Net Zero Emission target in 2060.
