After Permanently Deleting Pornhub Account, Instagram Is Discriminatory and Hypocritical

JAKARTA - After weeks of suspension, Instagram has now officially deleted the Pornhub account permanently.

At the time, Instagram told TechCrunch that Pornhub had repeatedly violated its community guidelines, which prompted the removal of the account.

After the deletion of the account, Pornhub finally issued a letter of protest on Twitter judging that the Meta and Instagram policies were unclear, discriminatory, and hypocritical.

"Sex workers and artists have been unfairly targeted in the form of bans, shadow bans, suspensions, loss of Live privileges and content removal, despite being careful not to violate Instagram's Community Guidelines," Pornhub wrote on Twitter.

According to him, Meta did not have a reasonable reason when they deactivated the Pornhub account which was verified by Instagram.

"We demand explanations and guidance as to why our accounts are constantly being deleted, and why the content we spend creating engagement with our audience is being removed, even when we don't violate any rules on Instagram," the adult platform demanded.

Meta is said to be hindering its business by continuously removing, silencing, and censoring the existence of sex workers and adult brands. "It's dangerous and threatens our lives." he said.

Pornhub demands fair treatment, where there are still many artists who show off adult photos on Instagram, but their fate is far different from them.

"Kim Kardashian has posted her fully exposed ass to her 330 million followers without any restrictive action from Instagram," she said.

The platform said they weren't bothered and pleased with the post, but questioned why they weren't getting the same treatment.

"We demand that Instagram immediately end all discrimination against those involved in the adult industry."

This means providing full transparency and clear explanations for any suspended or blocked accounts, ending shadow banning practices, and promptly restoring all accounts, including Pornhub, that do not violate any of Instagram's Terms and Policies.
