BTS's New Album, BE Debuts Number 1 On The Billboard Top 200

JAKARTA - Sunday, November 29, Billboard announced BTS's new album, BE, entered the Billboard Top 200 album chart at number one.

BE is BTS's fifth album to reach number one on Billboard. It is known that currently the BE album is the most popular album in the United States.

With this achievement, BTS is still the first Korean musician to have two albums ranked first on the Billboard 200.There are five BTS albums that have entered the Top 200 ranking.

The five albums are Love Yourself: Tear in June 2018, then Love Yourself: Answer, Map of the Soul: Persona, and Map of the Soul: 7.

A similar achievement was made by The Beatles, who had five albums which occupied the Billboard Top 200 from 1964 to 1965.

According to Billboard, BE has sold 242,000 copies as of November 26. The total score obtained by BTS consisted of 177,000 album sales, 35,000 track sales, and 30,000 total streams which counted equal to 48.56 million streams in the first week of BE's release.

On the other hand, BTS received a nomination in the category Best Pop / Duo Group Performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards. They compete with J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny, Tainy, Justin Bieber and Quavo, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, as well as Taylor Swift and Bon. Iver.
