Rizieq 'Kabur' Through The Back, FPI: Any Door Is Free
JAKARTA - Secretary for Legal Aid DPP FPI, Aziz Yanuar emphasized that Rizieq Shihab's exit from the back door of the UMMI Bogor Hospital (RS) was his personal right. This is because there are no regulations requiring exit through certain doors.
"Either way is free, his right is approved by the hospital," Aziz told VOI, Monday, November 30.
Aziz denied that Rizieq Shihab had escaped from the hospital. According to him, the FPI frontman left the hospital because his rest period was over.
"He has finished resting and then returned home," he said.
Although he does not know exactly when Rizieq left the hospital, based on the information received by the FPI leader, he returned to his residence with his family. Rizieq left the hospital on the evening of Saturday, November 28.
"The information was late (Rizieq left the hospital). Of course he went home with his family," he said.
Rizieq's information left the UMMI Bogor Hospital (RS) based on the admission of a hospital security officer. He said Rizieq left through the back door of the hospital which was a medicine warehouse. However, it is not certain that the vehicle carrying Rizieq will return to Petamburan.
After knowing that Rizieq had left, the security forces checked the room where Rizieq was being treated. It turned out that he had left the UMMI Hospital.
West Java Regional Police Public Relations Head Kombes Erdi A Chaniago said Rizieq left the house and left the UMMI Hospital at around 21.00 WIB on Saturday, November 28.
"This is being investigated by the Bogor Police. The information is like that, that the patient at Ummi Hospital (Rizieq Shihab, red) at 21.00 WIB, Saturday night, November 28, was out," Chaniago told reporters, Sunday, November 29.
He said it was suspected that Rizieq had walked out of the back door of the hospital. Rizieq's departure, which was allegedly carried out in secret, was also unknown to the COVID-19 Handling Task Force.
