Petamburan Fire Suspected Of Electric Short Circuit, 7 Kiosks And 5 Houses Become Victims
JAKARTA - A fire occurred in the settlement of Jalan Petamburan II No. 1A, RT 009 RW 03, Petamburan Village, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta.
Head of Sub-dept. Of Gulkarmat, Central Jakarta, Asri Rizal, said the fire occurred because of an electrical short circuit from a cable above a kiosk at the fire site. As a result of this fire, 7 stalls and 5 houses caught fire.
"Electric short circuit from the cable above the kiosk, between the Thalita kiosk and Pak Sawab's stall," Rizal's report wrote, Sunday, November 29.
He explained that officers received a report at around 20.00 WIB. 10 minutes later, the first unit came to the location.
Fires can be resolved at 23.00 WIB. The fire was extinguished after 25 fire fighting units involving 125 members were deployed.
Meanwhile, he continued, the fire spread quickly because it burned semi-permanent buildings in densely occupied houses and was hampered by residents who were less conducive in the locations.
The location of this fire is far from Rizieq Shihab's house. It is known that Rizieq lives in Gang Paksi, Jalan Petamburan III, RT 3/4. The distance between the two locations, namely the location of Rizieq's house and the location of the fire, is quite far.
