KSAL Target Headquarters Koarmada I Moving To Tanjungpinang On December 5
JAKARTA - The Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono is targeting the relocation of the Fleet Command I (Koarmada) headquarters from Jakarta to Tanjungpinang on the Fleet Anniversary on December 5, 2022.
"On December 5, I hope that the Fleet I will be established in Tanjungpinang, Lantamal IV in Batam, and Lanal Batam will turn into Lanal Tanjung Uban," KSAL told reporters at Arafuru Field Koarmada I, Central Jakarta, Tuesday.
KSAL explained that the infrastructure development for the transfer of Koarmada I to Tanjungpinang, then Lantamal IV from Tanjungpinang to Tanjung Uban, as well as Lanal Tanjung Uban from Batam to Tanjung Uban was carried out in stages since it was approved by the TNI Commander.
"We carried it out in stages since we were approved at that time. I reported to the TNI Commander for the relocation of the headquarters, so that later I will determine it on the Fleet Anniversary on December 5," he said.
Regarding the headquarters located in Jakarta, it will be the headquarters for the Indonesian Koarmada.
"So, we will place the Indonesian Koarmada in the building next door in Jakarta, in Koarmada I," said KSAL.
Kasal explained that the Indonesian Koarmada has been inaugurated since February 6, 2022 and the handover of the position of Commander of the Indonesian Fleet Command is currently the third handover in Koarmada RI.
The Commander of the Indonesian Military Command has the responsibility to coordinate the tasks of Koarmada I, II, and III, so that there is alignment of doctrines, common doctrines, and also for equal and equitable development in Koarmada I, II, and III.
"So with the Indonesian Koarmada, the tasks in Koarmada I, II, and III are in one command unit," he added.
He made this statement after holding the handover of the position (certificate) of the Commander of the Indonesian Fleet Command (Pangkoarmada), from the Vice Admiral TNI Abdul Rasyid to Rear Admiral TNI Heru Kusmanto at Arafuru Koarmada I Field, Central Jakarta, Tuesday 27 September.
