DKI Deputy Governor Riza Patria Is Positive For COVID-19, His Condition Is Good
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria has been confirmed positive for COVID-19 and remains in good condition. As directed by the doctor, Deputy Governor Ariza is currently undergoing independent isolation.
"Alhamdulillah, although the test results on Friday, November 27, showed positive COVID-19, my condition is still in good condition and under control," said Riza, quoted from the website jakarta.go.id, Sunday, November 29.
"Both the staff and all my family members have also undergone a swab test. As defined by WHO, every patient confirmed to be positive for COVID-19 must carry out independent isolation and remain under the supervision of health personnel, both at the health center level to the hospital," he added.
Riza did two swab tests (PCR Test), namely on Thursday, November 26, with negative results, and then continued with the same test on Friday, November 27, with positive results.
As for the results of the contact tracing of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Deputy Governor Ariza was confirmed positive for COVID-19 because he contracted it from his personal staff who had previously contracted it from the staff's family environment.
“So, this positive COVID-19 finding is from the work environment, where one of my staff is infected from their family cluster. This is of course a concern for all of us to maintain more disciplined health protocols even within the family, "said Riza.
He hopes that with this positive COVID-19 confirmation case, Jakarta residents will further improve the discipline of health protocols, namely using masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands.
"Please pray that we are all in good health. Jakarta is not yet free from the COVID-19 pandemic. Do not hesitate and be afraid to remind each other of the 3M Protocol. Keep increasing faith, immunity, and safety even within the scope of our families, "he said.
