December 1, Rizieq Shihab Will Be Examined Regarding Crowds At Weddings And The Prophet's Birthday In Petamburan
JAKARTA - The police will conduct an examination of the Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Rizieq Shihab regarding the mob case that occurred during the wedding ceremony of his daughter, Najwa Shihab, which was held as well as commemorating the Prophet's birthday on November 14. Rizieq's examination will be held on Tuesday, December 1.
"Summons to MRS (Muhammad Riziq Shihab) to be present on Tuesday," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Yusri Yunus to reporters, Sunday, November 29.
No more definite details regarding what the police will investigate in the next Tuesday, but what is certain is that investigators at the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya have sent a letter directly to Rizieq's residence in Petamburan III, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
According to the Head of the Sub-directorate for State Security, Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, Adjunct Senior Commissioner for Police, Raindra Ramadhan Syah, the family has received a summons for witness examination.
"A summons for Mr. Muhammad Rizieq Shihab has been given to the family," he said.
Meanwhile, based on a number of information, Rizieq was asked to come to the Polda Metro Jaya at 10:00 WIB to be examined as a witness regarding the crowd at the event he held.
Previously, Polda Metro Jaya opened the opportunity to examine Rizieq Shihab in a case of alleged violation of the health protocol (prokes) during the wedding ceremony of his daughter Syarifah Najwa Shihab in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. In the investigation process, the police will examine witnesses related to the case.
"Yes, everyone, we do not specify 1, 2 people, we will summon anyone involved in the fulfillment of the evidence," said the Director of General Criminal Investigation of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat to reporters, Friday, November 27.
Tubagus said that the summoning of parties related to the case would be divided into two groups. First, summons as witnesses and then as suspects.
Later, after examining and gathering evidence, the investigator will conduct a case title. From this process the suspect will be determined.
"(Witness) Everything that is related, we will see later, it is dynamic. Maybe from the examination of one witness it has linked with another witness," he said.
It is known, the status of cases of alleged violations of this prokes has been upgraded from investigation to investigation. This is based on the results of the case title which found elements of criminal offenses.
The alleged violation of the health protocol was due to a crowd at the wedding of Rizieq Shihab's daughter in the Petamburan area, Central Jakarta, on November 14.
