Continue Taxes! Revenue Of August Grows 58 Percent To Rp1,171 Trillion
JAKARTA The slick performance of tax revenues this year is still ongoing. This is reflected in the report on the realization of the 2022 State Budget for the August period which was delivered directly by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani.
According to him, until last month tax revenues had recorded a value of Rp1,171.8 trillion. This figure skyrocketed by 58.1 percent from the August 2021 book of Rp741.3 trillion.
In his explanation, the Minister of Finance explained that there are four dominant factors that make the tax sector continue to show achievements.
First, the excellent tax performance in the January-August 2022 period was supported by a trend of increasing commodity prices.
Second, expansive economic growth. Third, the low tax base (compliance) last year as a result of the provision of fiscal incentives.
And the negligence is starting to feel the impact of the implementation of the Law on Harmonization of Tax Regulations (HPP) which makes the tax base wider.
After very high growth in June due to the Voluntary Disclosure Program (PPS), the performance of tax revenues is normalized. This trend is expected to continue until the end of 2022 in line with the increase in revenue base at the end of 2021," said the Minister of Finance when giving a presentation to reporters, Monday, September 26.
The treasurer also explained that the realization amount of Rp1,171.8 trillion last month was equivalent to 78.9 percent of this year's tax revenue target, which is Rp1,485 trillion as stated in Presidential Regulation 98 of 2022.
