PKB: Other Parties Wait For PDIP's Attitude, Who Is The Presidential Candidate In 2024

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jazilul Fawaid said the PDI-P (PDIP)'s stance in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) was awaited. Many parties are curious about who the presidential candidates will advance.

"Not only PKB, other parties are also waiting for the attitude of PDIP. Who is the presidential candidate? We are also waiting," Jazilul told reporters at TMP Kalibata, South Jakarta, Sunday, September 25.

PDIP's attitude, continued Jazilul, clarifies the map of the 2024 presidential election. So, all parties are now waiting for a decision to be taken by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Furthermore, Jazilul said his party and PDIP would remain in the same frame of togetherness. Moreover, the general chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin, has met with the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani.

From that meeting, PKB believed it had the same vision as PDIP. Jazilul assessed that this condition certainly opened up opportunities for cooperation.

"If the vision is the same, the platform is the same. It's just the president and vice president, it's the same," he said.

As previously reported, Puan Maharani met with Cak Imin. The two had a pilgrimage at the grave of Taufiq Kiemas, who is Puan's father.

After a pilgrimage at TMP Kalibata, the two had breakfast together. Then, Puan had time to say that PDIP and PKB have similarities, namely both parties for the small people.

"If the meeting is usually at the office, at home, how come this is even at the pecel (sales, ed), yes, because the PKB and PDI-P both the party wong flip-flops, wong cilik ingrasroot," said Puan after breakfast with Cak Imin today, Sunday, September 25.

"That's how the PDI-P and PKB's grassroots are," he continued.

Not only that, Cak Imin also had time to pray to be vice president next to Puan. This moment occurred when the PDIP group gave him a birthday cake.

"Hopefully the prayers will be answered and at least I will be vice president," said Cak Imin at TMP Kalibata, South Jakarta, Sunday, September 25.

This statement was greeted with laughter by politicians who attended. laughing, Cak Imin said his wish shifted from the president to the representative because he realized his party was not big.

"No, no, the party lost big," he said.
