"The ethical violator is in order to restore Catur Prasetya and Tri Brata, there is another school to improve his character, his ethics, and also his professional level," he continued.

In addition to being sentenced to the obligation to take part in mental training, the former subordinate of Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo was also sentenced to a demotion mutation for one year, except for Iptu Januar Arifin being subject to a two-year demotion sanction.

The four of them were transferred to the National Police Headquarters Service (Yanma) on August 22.

Separately, member of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) Poengky Indarti explained that mental training for violators of ethical sanctions is contained in Article 95 paragraph (1) of Police Regulation (Perpol) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Professional Code of Ethics and the Police Code of Ethics Commission.

Then in Article 108 paragraph (2) it is explained, ethical sanctions and the obligation to participate in mental training are carried out against violators who violate the ethics of the light category.

According to Poengky, mental training was carried out because the violators were previously under pressure, so they were forced to comply with the order of Ferdy Sambo (former Kadiv Propam) or other superiors (engaged by obstruction of justice) to do something that was against SOPs and the law.

"So that the person concerned needs to be strengthened (mental, personality, mental and professional knowledge) to be able to serve well again as a member of the police in the future," said Poengky.
