Sangihe North Sulawesi BPBD Will Pull 9 Houses Prepared For Refugees But Not Placed

SANGHIE - Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi, Wandu Labesi said his party had withdrawn the house of a refugee who was not occupied by the recipient of the aid."We have withdrawn the refugee houses that have not yet been occupied by the beneficiaries," said Wandu Labesi in Tahuna, Sangihe Islands Regency, Antara, Friday, September 23.According to him, after the natural disaster that hit Sangihe Regency in 2016, there were a number of families who lost their homes so that the Sangihe Regency Government in 2017 had built 78 housing units for disaster victims.The house is located in Kolongan Mitung Village, West Tahuna District as many as 63 units and in Lelepu, Mahena Village, Tahuna District as many as 15 units. However, until now there are still nine housing units that have not been occupied by the refugees as disaster victims.BPBD, he said, had informed the nine beneficiary families to immediately occupy the house."We give nine families one month to occupy refugee houses so they don't get damaged," he said.When the specified time is still not used, the house will be withdrawn by BPBD and will be given to other families in need."BPBD again appealed to nine families as victims of the disaster to immediately occupy the refugee houses that have been prepared by the government," he said.
