Good News, Mark Hoppus Is Cancer-Free

JAKARTA - Mark Hoppus announced that he has officially recovered from cancer. He conveyed this good news through a photo on Instagram Story where his arm had just been injected.

So grateful for today. My scan results are clean and I'm free from cancer. Thank God for every day I'm here. Love you all," wrote the Blink-182 base on Wednesday, September 21.

In April 2021, Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with lymph nodes cancer. He underwent a chemotherapy process so he could not move for a while.

Then in September after that, he announced that he was cured of cancer. But at that time he was still required to carry out routine checks for six months.

"I still have to be checked every six months until the end of the year to get back to normal but today was a great day and I feel grateful," said Mark Hoppus.

One year later, Mark Hoppus was declared free of cancer. He does not need to be treated as before. To People, he admitted his wife, bad luck playing a major role in the recovery.

He found out the best foods that could help restore, help dehydration, and healing. My wife was amazing since the first day," said Mark Hoppus.

At first, Hoppus had no intention of announcing his cancer but one day he accidentally uploaded a photo of him in a kemo chair. He thought the public would make fun of him and said "You're going to die."

It turns out that everyone is like 'You can definitely get through it' and this is an outpouring of support from foreigners. This makes me strong and hopeful," he said.

"Today I'm good. His recovery took longer time but I was in a better place. I felt I was living my second life," he said.
