Update On COVID-19 As Of November 27: A Record Of 5,828 New Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 48,823 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 5,828 new positive cases of COVID-19.
The number of new cases today reached a new record. Previously, the record for new cases occurred on November 25 with an additional 5,534 cases.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 522,581 people," the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Friday, November 27.
Today's cases increased by 3,807, so that a total of 437,456 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases that died increased by 169 people and a total of 16,521 people.
The province with the most new cases is in DKI Jakarta with 1,436 new cases and a total of 132,961 cases. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.
Followed by Central Java which has 963 new cases with a total of 51,843 cases. West Java has 699 new cases and a total of 51,181 cases. Then, East Java has 428 new cases and a total of 60,618 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 816 cases recovered. Followed by West Java with an increase of 782 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 380 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 359 recovered cases.
Then, there are 2 provinces that reported having no new cases today. The provinces are Gorontalo and Maluku.
In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 5,566,215. In detail, a total of 5,466,757 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 99,458 using a molecular rapid test (TCM).
"The number of positive results per number of specimens examined (positivity rate) was 14 percent," he wrote.
Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 67,836 people. Currently, 505 districts / cities from 34 provinces have cases of COVID-19.
