6 Competing Clubs Get Winger Shakhtar Donetsk, Including Arsenal And Liverpool
JAKARTA - Shakhtar Donetsk's player, Mykhaylo Mudryk, stole the attention of big European clubs. His performance in the first two Champions League games was so stunning.
He has scored two goals with Shakhtar in the Champions League. Even against RB Leipzig, he not only contributed goals, but also two assists.
Some called him Neymar from Ukraine because of his beautiful game similar to that of the Brazilian player.
Reportedly, there are six clubs interested in getting it in the January transfer market.
Three of them are English Premier League, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United. In addition, there are also the names Ajax Amsterdam, Sevilla and Bayer Leverkusen.
Arsenal has actually approached the player since the transfer market last summer. In fact, some media claimed that there had been a personal agreement between the two parties.
Unfortunately, the transfer was canceled. The problem of price is formulated as an excuse.
It's not only Arsenal who were interested in bringing him in last summer. Brentford and Everton have also negotiated with Shakhtar, but were rejected.
Shakhtar knows very well the player is a valuable pearl. Maintaining it becomes an obligation.
"Studyk is a real talent. After Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius JR, he is the best European player in his position," said Sports Director Shakhtar, Darijo Srna, to CBS Sports.
"If someone wants to buy Murdyk, they have to spend a lot, a lot, a lot of money and respect our club and president," he continued.
