Hard Fork Vasil Development
Vasil was originally scheduled for launch at the end of June. However, the team behind development postponed Vasil's launch to a newer date due to some bugs found in a node.
Since then, the team has been working relentlessly to fix the problem and get Vasil delivered in full. Earlier this month, Hoskinson revealed that Vasil will be deployed on September 22, 2022.
This upgrade will roll out important features, including enhanced smart contract functionality, faster transaction times, and cheaper transaction fees.
It doesn't stop there, IOG also plans to release various new features at Cardano a few days after Vasil's upgrade, which is on 27 September.
