KPK Set A New Suspect In The Palu Ketok Case Of The Jambi DPRD

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named a new suspect in connection with the alleged giving of hammer money or ratification of the RAPBD in Jambi for the 2017-2018 fiscal year. The investigation will certainly be carried out thoroughly.

"It's true, the KPK is currently re-developing the alleged corruption case related to bribery in the discussion of the Jambi Provincial RAPBD for the 2017 and 2018 fiscal years," said Head of the News Section, Ali Fikri to reporters, Tuesday, September 20.

Ali has not disclosed who the suspects have just been named. The KPK chose to announce after the evidence was declared complete along with the detention process.

"In terms of the chronology of alleged criminal acts, who is a suspect or the alleged article will soon be conveyed after the investigation process is sufficient," he said.

The KPK said the collection of evidence was still ongoing. One of them is done by examining witnesses.

Ali ensured that any developments in the alleged bribery of the hammer would be conveyed to the public. This is a form of transparency in the investigation of the practice of racism.

"We will continue to convey the development of this investigation process as a form of public supervision in the efforts taken by the KPK," Ali explained.

As previously reported, this case has ensnared a number of names. Among them are former Jambi Governor Zumi Zola to Jambi Provincial Acting Secretary Erwan Malik, Acting Head of the PUPR Office of Jambi Province Arfan, and Regional Assistant 3 Jambi Province Saifudin.

In addition, a number of members of the Jambi Provincial DPRD were also entangled. Then, there is also a private party named Paut Syakarin who is a suspect.

He is suspected of being one of the private parties who act as a funder and provide additional knock-on money for members of Commission III of the Jambi DPRD with an amount of Rp. 150 million each related to the 2017 Jambi Provincial RAPBD.
