PAN Advises Political Parties Not To Announce The Coalition, Sindir NasDem, PKS And Democrats?
JAKARTA - The National Mandate Party (PAN) recommends that political parties (political parties) that have not yet determined the coalition of the 2024 presidential election not be long-winded in their attitude.
PAN said that there are already three axes that meet the requirements for the nomination threshold or 20 percent presidential threshold (PT). First, the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) consisting of Golkar, PAN, and PPP. Second, PDI-P (PDIP). Third, the coalition formed by Gerindra-PKB. While those who have not declared a coalition are NasDem, the Democratic Party, and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). Even though they boast about having been close to each other, in fact these three political parties still do not dare to announce a coalition. "For political parties that have not yet determined their coalition, they should apply the principles: sepat fish, snakehead, and catfish. The sooner, the better, and don't be long-winded, hega-he," said PAN Deputy Chair Viva Yoga Mauladi, Tuesday, September 20. The PAN DPP spokesman also assessed that there was no attempt by certain parties to thwart and even nominate a presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate. According to Viva, the number of candidate fighting in the 2024 presidential election is the domain of a political party. Because he said, the one who has the constitutional right to carry a candidate is a political party.
"This has been regulated in Article 222 of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections that political parties or coalitions of political parties propose a presidential/presidential candidate that meets the presidential threshold requirement of 20 percent of the seats in the DPR RI," explained Viva.
Currently, continued Yoga, the coalition of political parties is still in dynamic and liquid conditions. However, he emphasized that there was no attempt to tackle political parties to form a coalition or join the requirements of PT 20 percent. "All political parties are independent and have existence. The proof is, even though they are members of the government party, in the event that the 2024 presidential election has formed three axes that come from the coalition of government parties," said Viva Yoga.
Previously, allegations of reckless efforts to prevent the vice presidential candidate pair were echoed by the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party also confirmed that it would form a coalition with NasDem and PKS. PKS also said that it was finalizing the axis of change with the Democrats and NasDem. However, NasDem still considers that there are still obstacles for three political parties to announce the coalition so that no agreement has been reached.
