Leading To Funeral Worship, Dean Of Westminster Praises The Commitment Of The Late Queen Elizabeth II On Obligations And Dedications To The People

JAKARTA - Dean of Westminster Dr. David Honnya invited all those present at Westminster Abbey to pray for Queen Elizabeth II, praising the longest-serving king's commitment while leading the British Empire.

The Dean of Westminster said the church was "a warning and hope".

He recalled that people from all over the country, Commonwealth and the world gathered today at the place the late Queen married and was named.

"With gratitude, we remember his strong commitment to high calling over the years as the Queen and head of the Commonwealth," he said.

"With admiration, we remember his sense of obligation and dedication for life to his people. With our gratitude, we praise God for the example of his continuous Christian faith and dedication," he continued.

"With love, we remember his love for his family and his commitment to the goals he loves," said Dean of Westminster.

In addition to Dean of Westminster, the Archbishop of York, Justin Welby, who will give sermons and praise.

Prayers will be read by the Archbishop of York, Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland and Free Churches Moderator.

Prime Minister Liz Truss and Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland delivered readings from the holy book.
