Budget For BBM BLT Funds In West Papua Capai Of IDR 214 Billion, Distributed To 356 Thousand KPM

MANOKWARI - The government has disbursed direct cash assistance (BLT) funds as a diversion of fuel oil subsidies (BBM) for beneficiaries in West Papua Province worth Rp214 billion.

Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) of the West Papua Ministry of Finance, Bayu Andy Prasetya, said the number of beneficiary families (KPM) of BLT BBM in West Papua was 356,876 KPM.

"The distribution of BBM BLT is intended to reduce the burden on household expenses as a result of the increase in fuel prices. This is also an effort to maintain people's purchasing power in the midst of an uncertain global economic situation at this time," Bayu explained as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 19.

Each KPM gets an allocation of IDR 150,000 BBM BLT per month from September to December 2022.

In Manokwari, the distribution of the first phase of BLT fuel has been carried out some time ago to 387 KPM.

Head of the Manokwari Post Office Johannes Kesaulija said the 387 KPMs had been recorded as recipients of government assistance, each of which received the first BLT BBM of Rp. 300,000 and non-cash food assistance (BPNT) or basic food assistance for September 2022 worth Rp. 200,000.

The distribution of BBM BLT to residents in Manokwari is scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 9, 2022.

Recipients of BLT BBM are required to bring an original identity card (KTP) and family card (KK) when taking social assistance.

The recipients of BLT BBM throughout Indonesia are 20.650 million KPM, with the allocation of funds disbursed by the government reaching Rp12.39 trillion.
