Lukas Enembe Still Sick, Lawyer: If KPK Wants to Check, Come to Jayapura
JAKARTA - The health of Papua Governor Lukas Enembe is reported to have not recovered by his attorney, Aloysius Renwarin. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is welcome to Jayapura, Papua if it wants to examine its client.
"Still in sick condition. If you want to check, come to his house in Jayapura. If it's better for the KPK to come there, yes", Aloysius told reporters in Jakarta, Monday, September 19.
Aloysius ensures his client will cooperate with the legal case that ensnares him. However, at this time Lukas' condition is still sick so it is not possible to carry out an examination.
"Cooperatives are still in a state of illness. Still, remain cooperative", he said.
Lukas Enembe is also still trying to get treatment abroad even though it has been prevented by the Directorate General of Immigration. Aloysius said that prevention should be removed because everyone has the right to health care.
"People's human rights are sick. Don't let the law become a snare for Papuans, this can't be done", said Aloysius.
The KPK previously planned to recall Lukas Enembe. He will be questioned regarding the alleged corruption that ensnared him.
Deputy Chairman of the KPK Alexander Marwata asked Lukas to cooperate in responding to the KPK's summons. In fact, the anti-corruption commission will provide an option for him to be investigated in Papua as the first call.
However, Alexander asked Luke to calm his supporters. Thus, conditions on Earth of Cendrawasih can be more conducive.
"We will call again. Please later Pak Lukas and also his legal advisor to be present at the KPK", said Deputy Chairman of the KPK Alexander Marwata in a press conference broadcast on the YouTube of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Monday, September 19.
"Or, if, for example, Mr. Lukas wants to be questioned in Jayapura, we also ask for your cooperation so that the community will be calmed", he said.
For information, Lukas Enembe has been named a suspect in alleged corruption from public complaints. The details of the case against him have not been disclosed but he has been prevented from going abroad for six months.
