Update On COVID-19 As Of September 18: New Cases 1,683, DKI Jakarta Most Followed By West Java

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today.

A total of 39,855 specimens were examined with the results of 1,683 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,408,806 people and active cases have fallen by 8 cases to 27,858 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Sunday, September 18.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 665 recovered cases.

Followed by West Java with an additional 230 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 198 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 146 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 107,942,059.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 7.33 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,371 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 204,232,497 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 170,930,726 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 62,590,766 and the fourth dose was 7,447. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
