COVID-19 Updates As Of September 17: 2,079 COVID-19 Positives.

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today, Saturday, September 17. A total of 53,122 specimens were examined with the results of 2,079 people confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,407,123 people and active cases have decreased by 610 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Saturday, September 17.

Today's recovered cases increased by 2,681 cases, bringing the total to 6,221,389 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died 8 and a total of 157,884 people.

Still referring to data from the Ministry of Health, the province with the highest new cases was DKI Jakarta with 893 cases. So the total reached 1,416,206 cases. Followed by West Java with 375 new cases Then, East Java with the addition of 188 cases per day, and Banten with 183 cases.

On the other hand, DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most recovered cases today with the addition of 1,596 cases. East Java Province also recorded a fairly large number of recovered people. Around 208 people were declared cured of COVID-19. Then, West Java with a recovery rate of 196 cases and Banten with an additional 175 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens to date has reached 107,902,204. "Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people for today is 7.79 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,924 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 204,301,774 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 170,910,257 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 62,496,583 people. Then, around 542,307 people have received the fourth dose. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
