Jusuf Kalla Invites To Continue To Do Good In PMI's 77th Anniversary
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Central PMI, Jusuf Kalla (JK) said that the Anniversary of the 77th Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) raised the theme of Continue to Do Good.
"The theme for 2022 is 'Continue to Do Good'. Not only in Indonesia, but internationally," he said after the ceremony commemorating PMI's 77th Anniversary at PMI Headquarters Building, Jakarta, Saturday, September 17.
According to him, the theme Continues to Do Good has a message to continue to serve and do good continuously.
To strengthen his dedication in doing this kindness, JK stated that PMI had been making preparations, namely by completing the equipment and readiness of volunteers.
Regarding PMI's source of funds, JK explained, so far PMI has received donations of funds, both from entrepreneurs, companies and the government. Furthermore, PMI distributed the assistance entrusted to people in need.
"So PMI is an intermediary who becomes the lower hand, but also serves as the above hand that distributes aid funds to those in need," said JK, who is also the General Chair of the Indonesian Mosque Council.
After the flag ceremony in commemoration of PMI's 77th anniversary, a number of PMI volunteers simulated the handling of traffic accidents during the homecoming flow.
On that occasion, PMI also won another trust, namely receiving a water tanker from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and PT Kalbe Farma in one unit each.
