Corruption Suspect of West Sumatra Hospital Pasaman Project Returns IDR 370 million
SIMPANG EMPAT - The West Pasaman District Attorney, West Sumatra received a refund of bribes and gratuities from the corruption case for the construction of the West Pasaman Regional General Hospital for the 2018-2020 fiscal year worth IDR 370 million from two suspects, AS and YE.
"Thus, so far the bribes and gratuities that have been received have reached IDR 4,270,000,000," said Head of the West Pasaman District Attorney's Office, Ginanjar Cahya Permana, at Simpang Empat, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, September 16.
Refunds of bribes and gratuities today came from two suspects, namely from the US worth IDR 350 million and from suspect YE worth IDR 20 million.
"The refund of IDR 370 million was handed over through their legal advisor Joni J David," he said.
Ginanjar said the hospital construction project was sourced from the Special Allocation Fund and 2018-2020 (multi-year) Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget with a contract value of IDR 134,859,961,000.
The bribes and gratuities that were returned, he said, were the money given by the company that won the tender, PT. MAM Energindo to members of the West Pasaman Procurement Service Unit Working Group (Pokja).
The money was given to the Pokja so that PT. MAM Energindo could be appointed as the winner of the implementing partner for the construction of the West Pasaman Hospital in 2018-2020.
Ginanjar said that the return of bribes and gratuities was a form of good faith on the part of the suspect's family through his lawyer to return the gratuity money that the suspects had received.
The Prosecutor's Office is still waiting for the good faith of the other suspects to immediately return the money from bribes and corruption that he had enjoyed before his assets were confiscated by investigators.
"The money returned by the West Pasaman District Attorney's Investigator was immediately deposited in the prosecutor's account to be used as evidence in the corruption case in the construction of the West Pasaman Hospital," he said.
Thus, until now in the corruption case at the RSUD, his party has received a refund of more than IDR 4.2 billion.
"Previously one of the AHM suspects had also returned IDR 3.8 billion from bribes and gratuities, the LA suspect returned IDR 100 million. So the total so far has received more than IDR 4.2 billion," said Ginanjar.
