Released PINK's BORN Album, BLACKPINK's Classic Hip Hop Through Shut Down

JAKARTA - K-pop group BLACKPINK officially released their second album titled BORN PINK today, Friday, September 16. The song Shut Down became the main champion after releasing Pink Venom last month.

Shut Down was written by TEDDY, 24, Danny Chung, and Vince. Not as busy as the main BLACKPINK songs, this time they chose Hip Hop with classics.

The song Shut Down also uses sampling from La Campanella by Paganini composer.

The music video released on the same day also shows BLACKPINK members with their new appearance. One of them is Lisa and Jennie with black hair.

They also make references to the music videos they have ever released. Rose who sits on a world ball is like a Whistle music video, then Jisoo who holds an umbrella like Ddu Du Du Du Du's music video.

Then there is Jennie who sits on a tank like How You Like That. Likewise with Lisa who raps in the middle of a fire like a video Playing With Fire.

On the other hand, the PINK BORN album contains eight new songs, including Pink Venom, Shut Down, and Ready for Love - a song they released in collaboration with PUBG.

Jisoo and Rose also intervened in making playlist lyrics. The retro song will probably remind BLINK (BLACKPINK fans) of their pop releases a few years ago.

Since its release today, the names BLACKPINK and Shut Down have occupied the trending topic. This release is highly anticipated by fans considering they have not greeted fans through music for a long time.

BLACKPINK is also scheduled to promote in the United States starting with Jimmy Kimmel on 20 September. Then they will go on a world tour in October.
