3 This Company Approved The Development And Development Of Automotive Components Based On Electric Vehicles

JAKARTA - Three companies, namely PT Barata Indonesia and PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA), as well as PT VKTR Teknologi Mobility have agreed on cooperation in the development and manufacture of electric vehicle-based automotive components.The cooperation agreement between the three companies was witnessed by the Deputy Minister (Wamen) II of BUMN Kartika Wirjoatmodjo in Gresik, East Java, Thursday, September 15.Director of Finance, Human Resources and Risk Management of PT INKA Andy Budiman Spatial said the scope of cooperation between the three companies includes the development of automotive components, especially for electric vehicles.In addition, testing the performance and durability of automotive components as a result of joint development, as well as implementing components resulting from the development of electric vehicles."For the first stage, the collaboration will be implemented on electric bus transportation made by PT INKA," he said, as reported by Antara.President Director of VKTR Gilarsi W Setijono emphasized the purpose of establishing this strategic partnership to create an electric-based transportation ecosystem by combining competencies and resources owned by each party."Later on, we will focus on four things, namely research and development of 'co-manufacture','repower' or conversion of conventional vehicles into electricity and sustainable ecosystem development," he said.Marketing Director of PT Barata Indonesia, Sulistyo Handoko, welcomed the cooperation positively.According to him, as a national manufacturing company, Barata Indonesia has the capacity with complete infrastructure in various industries. In addition, collaboration by these three companies will create imported substitution products."This collaboration not only brings benefits to the business but also contributes to the progress of the national manufacturing industry," he said.Furthermore, in terms of research and development, the three companies stated that they are open to collaborating with universities and other companies.
