We ask all parties to increase awareness of flood disasters," said Palangka Raya Mayor Fairid Naparin in Palangka Raya, quoted from Antara, Thursday, September 15.Along with this status, the government also plans disaster emergency preparedness operations and submits requests for emergency alert assistance needs, implements and coordinates the mobilization of resources for the handling of disaster emergency alerts quickly, precisely, effectively, and efficiently.In addition, preparing facilities and infrastructure in order to prepare socialization and community empowerment related to flood emergency alerts, carrying out information gathering as the basis for planning disaster emergency preparedness command in Palangka Raya City.The Palangka Raya City Government also routinely disseminates information about disaster events and handling the mass media and the wider community.Currently, the local Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) is also preparing locations that are used as command posts and evacuation centers for local residents who are victims of postal flooding."We have ready the location of the command post and evacuation posts, and if necessary, they can be built and functioned immediately," said Head of BPBD Palangka Raya Emi Abriyani.He explained that the locations that have the potential to be used as command posts and evacuation centers are not much different from the previous year, among the Kahayan Market, KONI Building, Serut Street, and sub-district offices that are not flooded."The point is that the location for the post is not flooded and easily accessible to the community and officers," he said.Currently, the water level in a number of areas due to flooding varies from 5-35 centimeters.
