Fedy Sambo's Fate As Police General Is Determined Next Week
JAKARTA - The National Police will soon hold an appeal ethics trial for Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. The plan is that the trial process will be held next week.
"The appeal hearing will be held next week regarding the appeal statement made by Inspector General FS," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo when confirmed, Thursday, September 15.
Most likely, the appeals ethics trial will last no later than Friday, September 24. Because, on that date is a time limit of 21 days in the appeal process.
So, it can be interpreted that Ferdy Sambo's fate as a National Police general will be determined next week.
Apart from that, Dedi emphasized that the appeal commission team had been formed by the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Later, the trial will be led by a three-star general.
"I will convey the head of the 3-star commission later," said Dedi.
However, the mechanism for the appeal ethics trial was not like the beginning. This means that the decision to accept or reject Sambo's appeal is determined through a meeting.
Meanwhile, for the ethics trial against police officers, such as Kompol Chuck Putranto, Kompol Baiquni Wibowo, and Kombes Agus Nur Patria, it has not yet been determined.
Dedi reasoned that the memorandum of appeal to the three police had not been received. So, the Police are still waiting for him.
"Only one (counter appeal, ed) will proceed later," said Dedi.
Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was dishonorably dismissed from the National Police. The former Head of the Propam Police Division was found guilty of violating the professional code of ethics of members of the police as stated in the decision of the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).
"The dishonorable dismissal as a member of the National Police," said Kabaintelkam Komjen Ahmad Dofir reading the verdict of the ethics commission Inspector General Ferdy Sambo at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday, August 26 in the morning.
However, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo filed an appeal regarding the decision of the ethics trial to dishonorably dismiss him from the Police.
The appeal was conveyed by Ferdy after the decision to dismiss him was read out by the Professional Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) team at the TNCC building at the South Jakarta Police Headquarters, Friday, August 26, early in the morning.
