Everything I Wanted Became Billie Eilish's Love For FINNEAS
JAKARTA - Solo singer Billie Eilish has just released the latest music video for the song Everything I Wanted. Even though this audio has been released since November 2019, Eilish has just uploaded the music video this January.
In the Everything I Wanted music video, a sentence is plastered at the beginning of the video that reads; “Finneas is my brother and my best friend. Whatever the circumstances, we always have and are always there for each other. " This song suggests that this song is dedicated to his biological brother as well as the person behind Eilish's songs.
In the nearly 5-minute music video, Eilish and FINNEAS are in the car and driving. They both pass through the road to dive water together but they stay together and hold hands.
"My brother and I wrote this song about each other and I wanted to make a visual that emphasizes that no matter what, we will be there for each other through everything," Eilish said in a statement quoted from Pitchfork.
Long before the question of FINNEAS, Eilish started writing this song after dreaming of killing himself and no one cared. Even friends and people who work with Eilish just show up and say "Oh, we never liked him (Eilish)."
In this dream, fans also left Eilish. Everything that killed Eilish in this dream messed with Eilish's feelings so that she started writing this song with her brother in mid-August 2018. She also performed a snippet of this song via Instagram Story a month later.
Interestingly, Eilish took pictures of several verses in the water which read: “I tried to scream. But my head was underwater ". In an interview with Beats1, Eilish said this was a great opportunity that could not be missed, especially since the Everything I Wanted music video became Eilish's directing project after Xanny's music video.
Everything I Wanted is the first single from the album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? in 2019. After this project, he is projected to fill the soundtrack for the latest James Bond film and appear at the Grammy Awards on January 26th. Recently, Billie Eilish announced that she will visit Jakarta on their Where Do We Go? on 7 September.
