Twin Brother Gennady Golovkin Calls Canelo Only An Ordinary Mexican Boxer

JAKARTA - A few days before the third fight between Saul Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin. Kubu of Kazakh boxer criticized Mexican boxers.

His crew regularly questions Canelo's integrity based on positive cases of clenbuterol in 2018, the caliber he has fought, and recently, the quality.

Maxim - Gennady's twin brothers - talk about their working days together and how GGG - Golovkin's nickname - trains a match with him.

He then spoke about the first fight in this trilogy, prompting Maxim to criticize Canelo.

"I personally think Canelo is just an ordinary boxer. That's how Gennady and our team saw it," Maxim told the DAZN podcast 'The Making of the Trilogy', quoted Thursday.

"He's just an average Mexican boxer who has been promoted to the top. But we know who he is and what his team is."

GGG itself tends to focus its comments on the September 2017 fight that it lost to an odd jury score, especially 118-110 given by Adelaide Byrd for Canelo's victory.

"I feel confident, relaxed, and quite comfortable. I believe in myself and really devote myself to the fight," said GGG.

"Canelo has grown wiser, he is aging and growing as a boxer, that's for sure," GG ended.
