PALANGKA RAYA - Two suspects for hoarding fuel oil (BBM) of subsidized bio diesel weighing 1.3 tons Trans Kalimantan Street, Anjir Serapat Village, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan, face a maximum sentence of six years in prison."The two suspects have the initials AH and AM on suspicion of subsidized fuel abuse for personal interests that are detrimental to the state, with a maximum penalty of 6 years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp. 60 billion," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Police Kombes Kismanto Eko Saputro in Palangka Raya, Antara, Monday, September 12.In this case, the suspect, who is now also languishing in the Central Kalimantan Police Detention Center, was charged with Article 55 of Law Number 22 of 2001 concerning Oil and Gas and Law Number 11 of 2022 concerning energy and mineral resources."From the disclosure of the case on Wednesday night, at least officers managed to secure evidence in the form of 45 jerry cans containing 35 liters of subsidized fuel of bio diesel with a total of 1.3 tons and 16 empty jerry cans," he said.He said the modus operandi of the two suspects was that both of them acted as buyers of bio solar fuel in stalls and passing trucks."Then, the fuel purchased by the suspects was again sold at a nominal price of Rp. 14 thousand per liter to the public," said Kismanto Eko Saputro.Previously, the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) of the Central Kalimantan Police had also arrested three perpetrators of hoarding subsidized bio diesel fuel in Parenggean District, East Kotawaringin Regency.The three fuel hoarders with subsidized 756 liters are also threatened with six years in prison and a fine of Rp. 60 billion.
