Makassar Bawaslu Clarifies South Sulawesi Governor Danny Pomanto Reported For 1 Hour

MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) clarified that the Governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Nurdin Abdullah over the complaint of the legal team for the candidate pair in the Makassar Pilkada M Ramdhan 'Danny' Pomanto-Fatmawati Rusdi (ADAMA). The governor of South Sulawesi was clarified for about an hour.

"It was (clarified) earlier that he was here, online, around 2 o'clock with Pak Pj," said the Coordinator of the Action and Handling of Abuses at Bawaslu Makassar, Sri Wahyuni, when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, November 25.

Meanwhile, regarding the results of the clarification, the Chairman of Bawaslu Makassar Nursari was reluctant to reveal it. He said the South Sulawesi governor's statement was confidential in the handling of complaints about alleged violations in the Makassar Pilkada.

"We cannot issue the results yet because he is part of the clarification of the information we invited, because we are keeping it a secret," said Nursari, contacted separately.

Previously, the Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah questioned the news of his summons by the Makassar City Bawaslu. The Governor of South Sulawesi, who is familiarly called Prof. NA, was also complained by the Danny Pomanto-Fatmawati legal team.

"There is no (call), why am I being called?" South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin told reporters in Makassar, Wednesday, November 25.

Nurdin emphasized that he had never offended anyone. He also admitted that he never gave a statement to support one of the candidate pairs in the Makassar Pilkada.

"I've never done anything. Have you ever offended (people) with speeches everywhere. It's a hoax, it's easy to report people, but the fact is, or not?" continued the governor Nurdin.

"I have never offended anyone, never supported him, for example if he is B, just don't know," said Nurdin.

The ADAMA team previously complained about a recorded case containing directing support to certain candidate pairs in the Makassar Pilkada who was recognized by the Secretary of the Ujung Tanah Sub-district.

The legal team for candidate candidate Ramdhan 'Danny' Pomanto-Fatmawati Rusdi (Adama) reported the Governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Nurdin Abdullah and the Acting Mayor of Makassar, Rudy Djamaluddin.

"We report on the matter of involvement of officials ranging from the governor, the acting mayor to the sub-district heads involved in the elections in Makassar," said Danny Pomanto-Fatmawati's legal team spokesman, Akhmad Rianto, contacted by VOI, Monday, November 23.

Makassar City Bawaslu has actually delegated cases of violations of ASN neutrality related to the Makassar Pilkada to the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN). The Secretary of the Head of Ujung Tanah Sub-district, Andi Syaiful, is suspected of violating neutrality due to an invitation to support certain candidates in the Makassar Pilkada. The Bawaslu said it was a personal act by an individual, and did not find a connection between the two names, namely, the Governor of South Sulawesi, Nurdin Abdullah who is familiarly called Prof. NA and Acting Mayor of Makassar Rudy Djamaluddin.

However, the ADAMA Legal Team, Akhmad Rianto, said that there was a recent development found. He explained the issue of the governor's involvement, the acting mayor of Makassar regarding the alleged violation of Article 71, paragraph 3 regarding involvement in campaigns that benefit certain candidate pairs.

"So what they are doing is related to the indirect instructions carried out by the governor in this matter and the acting mayor to order a certain number of candidate pairs, right, it is not in the field," he explained.

"But through his order, this is something that doesn't make sense if it is just an initiative of the sub-district government, what's the secretary of this sub-district? So it is impossible to do this without an order from the superiors," he continued.

Not only that, the legal team, Danny Pomanto, also reported the head of the Ujung Tanah sub-district and the Munafri Arifuddin-Abdul Rahman Bando (Appi-Rahman) candidate team who allegedly used state facilities for campaign purposes.

"Then the violations committed by them used state facilities, because the meeting was held in the hall of the sub-district office at Ujung Tanah. Then in candidate pair number 2 it was committed by involving state officials to campaign," said Akhmad Rianto.
