From Persuasion To Asmara, This Man Stole Tens Of Million Luxury Watches From Her Boyfriend's Employer

JAKARTA - The Bandung Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) team arrested a man with the initials VA (45) who allegedly stole various luxury watches with a total loss of Rp1 billion.

Kasatreskrim Polrestabes Bandung Kompol Adanan Mangopang said the suspect launched his action by approaching a household assistant (ART) in a luxury house in the Babakan Ciparay area, Bandung City.

"He approached the maid for about a month, promising to marry or have a relationship, then he obtained information that the owner of the house had luxury items, meaning he described the situation of his house," said Adanan at the Bandung Police, Bandung City, West Java, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 25. .

In addition to flirting with the mode of romance, the perpetrator also promised to cure the ART disease with the initials SKR (40). The VA actor who claimed to have gone on the pilgrimage required SKR to clean up his employer's belongings.

After that, said Adanan, SKR was finally persuaded by VA's seduction. The two of them allegedly conspired to take the victim's luxury items.

"The perpetrator (VA) approached the maid when she was leaving the house, for example buying vegetables, but this maid admitted that she was hypnotized by the perpetrator," said Adanan.

According to Adanan, there were about eight luxury watches stolen by the suspects. He said, there were watches that cost around Rp. 76 million.

The watch is then sold to collectors or luxury watch collectors. However, the police also finally applied the collectors with the initials BY (58) and RR (36) as suspects in the detention.

"The collectors should be suspicious of it, because there should be a box and a certificate, so it is reasonable to suspect that the person concerned has carried out this activity for a long time," he said.

Apart from watches, the police also suspect that other luxury items were stolen by the perpetrator. According to Adanan, the theft of the modus operandi is also suspected to have been carried out for years by the VA perpetrator.

"The collectors say that it has been more than three years, meaning there have been several TKPs," said Adanan.

In that case, the police charged SKR and VA with Article 362 in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code and were threatened with five years imprisonment. Meanwhile, BY and RR who are collectors are suspected of Article 480 of the Criminal Code.
